ABOUT FRIENDLY DATA SOLUTIONS LTD.
Friendly Data Solutions Ltd. was formed by the two companies involved in the initial development of PestFriend. After extensive research into available products for the Pest Control industry and finding all had significant limitations, M.R Pest Control (London) approached FITEC Consultants Ltd to develop a system to aid the recording of Pest Control Site visits. The approach was based on work seen in a local bakery for a Recipe and Invoicing system.
From the outset, it was clear that significant improvements to facilities available could be made as well as reducing the costs of day to day operation. Early on in the design process, it was agreed that the extra work to allow the system to be developed commercially would be included. The feedback from Richard Turner of M.R Pest Control (London) as each new feature was added helped the system develop rapidly as well as ensuring that all features were easy to use and worked as designed.
With over a years active use and the anticipated savings being generated by the system, Friendly Data Solutions Ltd. was formed in December 2007 to act as the single point of contact for PestFriend.
Our Pest Control Expertise
Richard Turner the owner of M.R Pest Control (London) has over 22 years experience in the pest control industry, He has worked for large and small companies as a technician, salesman and senior management. When PestFriend was designed it called upon all his knowledge and experience to help create what we have been told by many companies is the best system of its kind.
M.R Pest Control (London) is a small family run business established in 1997. When M.R Pest Control (London) was founded our aim was to improve our image when and where every possible and to give each customer more value for the money.
Over the years we listened to our customer's comments and always tried to find suitable answers to help them with their requests. We have gone out of our way to network with other small companies so we can put our customers in contact with them when they need help outside of pest control.
The company has always tried to keep ahead of our competitors by offering our customers things that very few competitors can offer, like printed A4 reports onsite as standard to all of our customers at no additional cost. barcoded bait boxes and locations as standard to any customers that request it.
We are always looking around the corner for new ideas so pest control can stay in touch with a fast moving technological world, this helps us stay one step ahead. PestFriend is the future.
Our Computing Expertise
FITEC Consultants Ltd is a small IT company specializing in Small Businesses and Home Users. We cover all aspects of personal Computers, user education and training, business consultancy, selection / advantages of standard software packages, design of bespoke software and small network set up. With Small Business / Home Computing covering such a diverse range of topics, our areas of expertise are supplemented with a network of experts in associated fields - in effect a one stop shop for all your computing needs.
THE EARLY YEARS
FITEC Consultants started trading in 1992 with its principle consultant - Nicholas Peek. Initially much of the work was with large manufacturing systems, stock control and accounting interfaces. In that same year Nicholas received the prestigious ICL Computer Users Association “Community Award” for services to users. This was in recognition of the work carried out whilst working at Racal and chairing the OMAC User Group - Enhancement Group.
Alongside the ongoing system design / support / consultancy work for large customers, a growing awareness of the needs of small businesses developed - driven partly by FITEC Consultants own needs. Systems set in place for the business mimicked the controls in larger companies but tailored to the developing PC format. Introducing the controls showed good returns on all investment.
